THRC Field School: THRC signs MOU with National Centre for Archaeology, Indonesia

The Temasek History Research Centre (THRC) at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute (ISEAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Centre for Archaeology (ARKENAS), Indonesia on 13 February 2020, Thursday, forming a collaboration to conduct the first THRC Field School.

To be held in East Java in July 2020, the Field School will train Singaporean students on basic knowledge on regional archaeology, art history and related fields, with a focus on the ancient polity of Majapahit (ca 13th-15th centuries CE) and neighbouring hermitage sites located in Mount Penanggungan.

The THRC Field School is part of its Southeast Asian Heritage Programme, which is supported by Temasek Foundation.

THRC Field School 2020 has been cancelled in view of COVID-19.
