About The Academy Awards for Professional Development

The Academy Awards for Professional Development recognise and affirm the efforts of officers in the education service and partnering organisations for their contributions to the professional development of officers in MOE. This has been an annual award since 2012.

There are three award categories, namely the Fellow of Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), the Associate of Academy of Singapore Teachers and the Partner of Academy of Singapore Teachers awards. The Fellow and Associate of AST award recipients are officers in the education service in MOE. The Partner of AST is conferred upon organisations outside of MOE in recognition of their support and contribution toward the professional development of Singapore teachers. MOE vendors are not eligible for this award.

About Temasek History Research Centre (THRC)

The Temasek History Research Centre (THRC) was established at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute in 2019. THRC will focus on Singapore’s premodern history, its economic and socio-cultural links to the region, as well as its historical role as a trading centre. The Centre will seek to pursue historical research from the 12th to the 19th century in order to deepen our understanding of Singapore’s history and identity, and linkages to the region.

The programmes of THRC are supported by Temasek Foundation.
