The International Advisory Panel (IAP) Meeting

The International Advisory Panel (IAP) of ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute met to review ISEAS research scope and focus in the context of a changing global economic and strategic landscape.

The International Advisory Panel (IAP) of ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute met to review ISEAS’ research scope and focus in the context of a changing global economic and strategic landscape.
IAP members include Professor A B Shamsul, Distinguished Professor and Founding Director, Institute of Ethnic Studies (KITA), The National University of Malaysia; Professor Suchit Bunbongkarn, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University and Senior Fellow, Institute of Security & International Studies; Dr Chatib Basri, Former Finance Minister of Indonesia, c/o PT CReco Consulting (unable to attend); Professor Hal Hill, Arndt Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School, CAP, Coombs Building, Australian National University; and Dr Charles E Morrison, President, East-West Center.


The one-day discussion with the IAP was chaired by Professor Wang Gungwu, Chairman, Board of Trustees, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. The Institute will follow-up on the observations and suggestions by the IAP for their future research.
