Launch of Report, “US-Japan Relations and Southeast Asia: Meeting Regional Demands”

The launch by the authors of the report, Dr Satu P. Limaye and Dr Tsutomu Kikuchi, was held at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute on Friday, 11 March 2016.

Friday, 11 March 2016 – This afternoon, the report “US-Japan Relations and Southeast Asia: Meeting Regional Demands” was launched by Dr Satu P. Limaye, Director of the East-West Center in Washington DC, and Dr Tsutomu Kikuchi, Adjunct Fellow of the Japan Institute of International Affairs, at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute.

The launch was preceded by a seminar chaired by ISEAS Senior Fellow, Dr Malcolm Cook, with ISEAS researchers, Mr Daljit Singh and Dr Siwage Dharma Negara, as discussants. The report was earlier launched in Washington DC on 11 March, and will be followed by a similar launch in Tokyo next week.

A culmination of a three year project between the East-West Center in Washington DC and the Japan Institute of International Affairs, the report was supported by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
