Introduction

The ISEAS Library was established in 1968 to serve the research needs of ISEAS researchers as well as scholars interested in the study of the Southeast Asian region.  The Library houses an extensive and unique range of more than 700,000 physical items related to Southeast Asia in multiple languages and formats, and provides access to more than 10,000 electronic resources including full text journal articles.

Since its establishment, the Library has been a knowledge hub for research on Southeast Asian studies. In 2013, to support the growing interest in the region, the Library opened its membership to the public.
