ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute is saddened to learn news of the passing of Mr Lee Khoon Choy (1924 – 2016). He was 92. Mr Lee was a distinguished politician and diplomat. Mr Lee has been a Visiting Senior Fellow at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute (formerly Institute of Southeast Asian Studies) since May 2003, where he spent his time writing his memoirs and using the ISEAS Library. His completed works included “Pioneers of Modern China: Understanding the Inscrutable Chinese” and “Golden Dragon and Purple Phoenix: The Chinese and Their Multi-Ethnic in Southeast Asia” which were published in 2005 and 2013 respectively. |
