REGIONAL ECONOMIC STUDIES PROGRAMME

About the Webinar

The webinar examines the status of digital services trade in six Asia-Pacific economies, namely, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, and the Philippines. The aim is to understand the key features of and trends in digital services trade in each of these countries; to identify the main drivers and challenges to such trade, including regulatory and other concerns confronting governments and businesses; to examine the role of the government in enabling such trade; and to assess the impact of digital services trade on these economies with regard to export earnings, employment, knowledge transfer, inclusive growth, skilling, and other relevant dimensions.
