The Philippines and the Climate Crisis

PHILIPPINES PROJECT

CLIMATE CHANGE IN SOUTHEAST ASIA PROGRAMME WEBINAR

About the Webinar

The pandemic and the climate crisis both demand rapid and far-reaching actions on an unprecedented scale. As in COVID-19, the prevailing climate emergency demands a resolute response from all — to reform the way we’ve lived and how we’ve regarded our environment — so that we may all survive and thrive amid the changing climate. The lecture by Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda will shed light on the enormity of the climate emergency at the global level and in the Philippines, and show the urgent need for ambitious and decisive action across all sectors. Aside from identifying policy and financing options, the lecture will present the method of employing the political instrument of national power to deal with current and future crises.

This webinar is supported by the Embassy of the Philippines, Singapore.
