Regional Outlook Forum 2020 – Disruption, Competition, and Collaboration

 

Thursday, 9 January 2020 – The 23rd Regional Outlook Forum (ROF) organised by ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute was held on 9 January 2020 at the Raffles City Convention City, attended by more than 660 registered participants.

 

 

Regional Outlook Forum 2019: Disruptions, Re-alignments, Opportunities

 

ROF2019 is the 22nd edition of the event. This year, more than 650 participants attended the event at Shangri-La Hotel. They came from diverse backgrounds including the government and diplomatic community, the business and financial sectors, academia as well as domestic and international media.

 

 

The 44th Singapore Lecture by His Excellency Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China

 

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivered the 44th Singapore Lecture “Pursuing Open and Integrated Development for Shared Prosperity 在开放融通中共创共享繁荣” at the St Regis Hotel on 13 November 2018. In Singapore to attend the 33rd ASEAN Summit, Premier Li’s visit to Singapore began on a positive note with the signing of an upgraded free trade agreement (FTA) between both countries, which promised greater protection and access into the Chinese market for Singaporean businesses.

 

 

The 43rd Singapore Lecture by H.E. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar “Myanmar’s Democratic Transition: Challenges and Way Forward”

 

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, delivered the 43rd Singapore Lecture on 21 August 2018, while on a four-day working visit to Singapore. 

 

 

The 42nd Singapore Lecture by His Excellency Moon Jae-in, President of The Republic of Korea, “ROK and ASEAN: Partners for Achieving Peace and Co-prosperity in East Asia”

 

South Korean President Moon Jae-in wants to elevate ROK-ASEAN relations to the same level as South Korea’s relations with the US, China, Japan and Russia. 

 

 

Regional Outlook Forum 2018: Trends, Uncertainties, Opportunities

 

ROF 2018 is the 21st edition of the event. This year, 750 attended the event at Shangri-La Hotel. Participants came from diverse backgrounds, including the business and financial sectors, academic, government and diplomatic community, as well as domestic and international media.

 

 

The 41st Singapore Lecture “Turkey-Singapore Relations: Building a Smart Strategic Partnership” by H.E. Binali Yıldırım, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey

 

Titled “Turkey-Singapore Relations: Building a Smart Strategic Partnership”, the talk touched on the cooperation between Turkey, Singapore and ASEAN .
