Ms Pham Thi Phuong Thao


Thao joined the ASEAN Studies Centre at ISEAS in November 2012. Before that, Thao worked in different diplomatic missions in Hanoi, Vietnam, including the Embassy of Finland and the Embassy of India, covering research, public diplomacy activities and communications. Thao holds a Bachelor of Economics in Foreign Economic Relations from the Foreign Trade University, Hanoi and her research interests include economics, particularly regional trade.

Mr Glenn Ong


Glenn received his B.A. Hons. (Highest Distinction) in History from the National University of Singapore in 2018, where he was twice placed on the Dean’s List. He completed his M.Sc. in Strategic Studies at the Nanyang Technological University in 2019 on a Lee Foundation RSIS Scholarship, and graduated with the United Overseas Bank Gold Medal. His research interests include Cold War politics, Southeast Asian international history, and civil-military relations in Asia. Glenn has been published in the Harvard Kennedy School’s Singapore Policy Journal, and has manuscripts forthcoming in other peer-reviewed publications.
