Gender Studies Programme
This is a programme that aims to have a regional membership connecting, informing, mobilizing people and organizations on issues related to gender equity, sustainable development and public policies that impact women and men.
The goal is to examine gender-related issues through a few lenses - the Millenium Development Goals, the Beijing Platform for Action, CEDAW, ASEAN – and assess the impact on development, empowerment and human rights of women and men.
The plan is to research the impact on women's development as a result of policies, trends and agreements and to also facilitate discussions on fundamental issues and these trends that affect the development and empowerment of women and men. Gender Studies Programme has to be mainstreamed into the three frames within ISEAS - political, economics, cultural and social.
