Abstract

Southeast Asia represents one of the most dynamic of the world's oil and gas regions. Currently the region boasts over 440 active contract areas with 191 companies involved in the upstream industry. Upstream oil and gas transactions have averaged a combined volume of US$ 1.8 billion per year in value during 2003 and 2004, with 2005 on track to beat this level.

PEARL Energy was originally established in 2000 and made its first acquisition in 2002 growing to a company with roughly 33,000 gross sq. km. under license, covering 9 contract areas in 3 countries, and an average net daily production in excess of 10,000 barrels of oil per day. It recently became the first pure "E & P" company to list on the Singapore Stock Exchange as an Initial Public Offering, and has offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, as well as its business development and head office here in Singapore. This talk will attempt to demonstrate Pearl's efforts to build a balanced portfolio quickly, as well as touch on its plans for the future.

You are cordially invited to the Seminar.
